Description

The ophthalmoscope was invented by Hermann Von Helmholtz in 1851. It was the first instrument that allowed physicians to illuminate the retina to examine problems such as detached retinas, glaucoma and tumors. Used in New York, NY United States. Manufactured by G. Tiemann & Co.
