Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The objective of this article is to discuss the a radiologist's responsibilities as a mandated reporter of child abuse and the risks in failing to do so.
CONCLUSION: All states have established rules that require licensed physicians to report any reasonable suspicion of child abuse. Failure to do so may result in serious consequences for both the physician and the patient.
