Abstract
Touro University’s open educational resources (OER) initiative is helping reduce the cost of higher education for Touro students. OER are currently being used in 35 different classes at Touro, across 5 undergraduate departments and 3 graduate/post-graduate programs, so far benefitting 3,590 students and saving them a total of approximately $483,196 in textbook costs. At the current rate of growth, OER use will have saved Touro students $1M by the end of 2024. Faculty can learn more about getting involved with OER on our Open Touro Libguide.
