Abstract
To establish a balanced, effective, consistent program for students, teachers and staff alike they need to be trained in Positive Behavior Supports (PBS). The purpose of the two-day workshop is to train paraeducators in PBS in order to guide the behavior interventions for each individual student. Utilizing data collection tables and data sheets, staff will be able to understand how a Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) is completed in order to establish function, behavior, and consequences of behaviors across people, time, or setting. The findings of the administered FBA, then outline how, when and to what extent PBS are interspersed in the student(s) school day consistently across teachers and paraeducators.
