Abstract
Sparked by a Microbiology II lecture on plague, this piece reflects on the evolution of medicine across centuries. From herbs and leeches to vaccines and antibiotics, our tools have changed, but the plague doctor and the modern scientist are united by a shared desire to help and heal.
